Kelsey B. Lundy
Kelsey Lundy has over 20 years of government relations experience at all levels of government. She has successfully navigated her clients through difficult and controversial legislative and regulatory issues relating to banking and finance, state budgeting, health insurance, labor/management, healthcare and healthcare professions, and public pension systems. Her practice areas include health insurance, health care, higher education, tax policy, state budgeting, public pension systems, and law enforcement. She previously served as a senior government relations advisor with Williams & Associates for 10 years in Phoenix. Lundy has also served as director of legislative relations with the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce and as director of community affairs with the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Lundy served as an intern for the Arizona House of Representatives, the Office of Arizona Attorney General Grant Woods, and the Office of U.S. Senator John McCain.
Jessie Armendt has lobbied at the Arizona State Capitol since 2010 and her areas of expertise include education, healthcare, liquor law, and animal welfare issues. She is a graduate from Rice University where she received a bachelor of arts in philosophy. Armendt began her lobbying career as the government relations coordinator at Williams & Associates, where she spent two years before moving to Arizona Governmental Affairs as a director. Before entering into the policy realm, she spent a year in a philosophy Ph.D. program at the University of Maryland and then returned to Arizona to work as a behavioral therapist for children with autism.
Laddie Guy Shane
Laddie Guy Shane has been a partner at Compass Strategies, a Phoenix-based Public Affairs Firm since December 2017. While attending Arizona State University, Laddie fell in love with activism and worked on many political races at the local, state, and federal levels. He has worked at all levels of a political campaign including in 2014 as the Statewide Field Director for Mark Brnovich for Attorney General and 2016 as Statewide Field Director for Yes on Prop 123. Laddie assisted in the Arizona Governor-Elect Doug Ducey transition and subsequently served in the Ducey administration from 2015-2017. During that time, Laddie worked in many roles in the areas of policy and public relations and in 2017, served as the Director of Constituent Engagement and Appointments, overseeing over 2,000 appointments as well as outreach and services provided to the public by the Governor’s Office and state agencies. Laddie also serves as President of the Friends of Saint Patrick Arizona, a non-profit built from the Good Friday Agreement of Northern Ireland that promotes education, tourism, and cross-community relations as well as Chairman of The Arc of Tempe which supports full inclusion while promoting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Alexandria Mendoza found her passion for politics volunteering for Governor Doug Ducey’s winning 2014 campaign. She worked for two years at the Arizona House of Representatives as a legislative page before joining the Compass Strategies team. Mendoza has worked on three successful statewide campaigns in Arizona and spent time in Washington, D.C. as a Capitol Scholar while also working for DC London. Mendoza is a graduate from Arizona State University, where she received a degree in political science and a minor in public service and public policy. She distinguished herself during her college career as a Dean’s Investments Scholar, College of Liberal Arts & Sciences student leader, and New American University Scholar.
Before joining Compass Strategies, Denise Stecker spent more than 20 years working in Arizona as a legal administrator. Her work in that area involved assisting attorneys in all aspects of their cases, including preparing for trials and working closely with law firm clients, Arizona government employees, and members of the public. During a legal hiatus, Denise worked for a large lighting company in the Phoenix area for three years, managing the customer service department. Within a year, Denise was instrumental in increasing their JD Power customer service rating from 46.5 percent to 98 percent. Denise has three children, and in her spare time she likes to exercise, hike, and bake. Most of all, she loves to spend time with her family.
